The food was nice, with flavors that stood out and were satisfying. The portion sizes were reasonable for the price, offering good value. However, the service was extremely slow. Despite placing our order two hours in advance, it still took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive. This delay was quite frustrating. Additionally, the noise level in the restaurant was very high. It was so noisy that we could hardly hear ourselves talk, making it difficult to enjoy our meal and conversation.

The food was right on point. It has always been one of my favourite places to eat in Malacca. The claypot lau shu fen is a must have dish and other dishes I had this time round were the bitter gourd with salted vegetables and tiga rasa ayam. Also had the sang mein; very interesting twist, there were century eggs in the dish. Brought the dish to another level The staff were attentive and prompt and the whole place had a homely feel.

During my leisure trip to Malacca, I visited the Congee Rice Noodles restaurant. The fried Hor Fun was one of the best that I have tasted and is different from those in Spore. Also the spicy, sweet and sour chicken is excellent and will crave you to come back for more. Overall I enjoyed the food and the service in the restaurant and like to give it a 5 stars.

Quite a large restaurant with plenty of seats. Colorful the wall mural. The century egg with pork porridge serving was large and tasted great. So were sinchew meehoon and fried kueg teow. We enjoyed it. Would come back if passing by.

This is set for 2 person. I thought will suit for us. But for me and my mum, small eater was a bit too much. I like the prawn and chicken. The prawn is very big. I think 3 person for this set is perfect

Ordered the Yam with Fish slice soup & Otak Omelette. The yam soup was it of this world!! Should have listened to the lady who asked whether we wanna add yam! Taste so fresh and good! If only went there with more people then can try more dishes!

I had the Mui Choy Pork Rice lunch set, and I can confidently say it was significantly above average. The Mui Choy (preserved vegetable) was savory, perfectly balanced between sweet and salty, and the pork belly itself was tender, melting slightly in the mouth without being overly fatty. But the real star of the show was the rice! It was cooked precisely to my liking—soft, fluffy, and incredibly fragrant. It’s rare to find such high-quality, aromatic white rice in a simple lunch setting, and this attention to detail elevated the entire meal. It’s the kind of rice you could almost eat plain.
